P-21 PREAMPLIFIER
FEATURES
♦ Pure Class A operation♦ Fully balanced circuit with zero feedback♦ Ultra-short signal path♦ Dual mono configuration♦ Two separate toroidal transformers, one for each channel♦ Independent power supply for non-audio circuits♦ 45-position resistor volume attenuator♦ Microprocessor control system♦ Full remote control
Fonodeon P21 is a fully balanced pure Class A audio preamplifier operating without feedback.
The preamplifier is simple and conservative in its construction. The circuit topology is very similar to the differential tube amplifiers. However, instead of vacuum tubes for amplification, the Fonodeon P21 uses MOSFET transistors.
A preamplifier is consistent with a dual-mono design philosophy. Both the left and right channels are totally separated and powered singly by two toroidal transformers. Also, the P21 has an independent power supply for non-audio circuits.
Volume, balance and gain control are done by means of precision relays, as is the input selection and sensitivity settings. The relays are controlled by the microprocessor via the front panel touch controls. The front panel display indicates the operating status. All settings and controls can also be done via the Fonodeon Remote Control.
